Zuid-Kennemerland - Individual program

It was a rainy day and the group split in 2 for work visits.  While Wendy and Jamey went to Haarlem for visits, Tom and Ross visited a park and visitor centre.
Construction of new Leeds certified building for Visitors Centre near larger car park.

Dummy bomb used by the Germans for range testing in the dunes during WW2.

Mr. Bos needs to be careful since there are people assigned to "Wacht" him.

Newly introduced "Bison" to assist in keeping the grasses under control in the dune area to allow the dunes to "live" and shift further inland.  Wisent are the largest European land animal.  Previously nearly extinct, there are now upwards of 3000 currently living in Europe.  The park has 16 that graze in the dunes.
