Hobbies and interests: travel, reading, boating, Rotary,
friends and family.
Community involvement: President of the
Rotary Club of Holland in ’93-’94, District Governor for Rotary International
in ’98-’99, served as chairman of the Holland Chamber of Commerce in 1993-1994,
the Small Business Association of Michigan in 1989-1990, and the Michigan
Distributors and Vendors Association 1996-1997, Michigan Delegate to the 1986
White House Conference on Small Business, served as a Trustee and board member
for New Brunswick Theological Seminary, past Trainer for Rotary District 6290
and is currently its Polio Chair, serves as a Deacon , sings in its Matins
Choir and has taught Sunday school in his church.
I am looking forward to meeting Rotarians of
District 1580 and seeing and experiencing this interesting and beautiful part
of Europe.

During the GSE program, I am looking forward
to gaining a new perspective on the human resources field - especially in the
areas of training, recruiting, compensation and communication. I'm excited to
see these aspects in practice in local organizations, and to share my own
experiences with others. Lastly, I'm eagerly anticipating time spent with local
Rotarians and exploring the Netherlands.
